FEDERAL RESERVE – Wall Street pushes out rate-cut expectations, sees risk they don’t start until March 2025

Economists and strategists now believe that the Federal Reserve will wait until at least September to cut interest rates, and there is increasing consideration of the possibility that rates may not be cut this year.

Economists at Bank of America suggest there's a "real risk" that the Federal Reserve won't cut interest rates until as late as March 2025 at the earliest, though they are currently sticking with their December forecast.

AiF's insight: Global interest rates have moved beyond the era of low rates.

Even if rates are cut, they won't return to the low interest rates of the past 20 years.

Maintaining interest rates at 3-4% is considered a normal value.Everyone had better not pin their hopes on Fed rate cuts and instead prepare early for long-term high rates.
